Join us Wednesday, May 4th for a fantastic five-course Brewer's Dinner at the pub in Newport tonight: featuring Chef Aric's original take on different regional appetizers from around the country, paired with different selections from Samual Adams. The dinner starts at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $50. The menu features an Americana cuisine theme.
From New England, clam fritters, potato cake, bacon cream. Beer: Boston Lager. From the Pacific Northwest, oysters on the half shell, Asian slaw, mushroom streudel, crab puffs. Beer: East West.
From the Mid West, corn fritters, grilled flank steak, smoked blue cheese, tomato chutney. Beer: Sam Summer. From the South West, mini chimichanga, fire cracker shrimp, roasted tomato salsa. Beer: Latitude 48 IPA. And desserts from the Gulf Coast dessert, Banana cream profiterole, pecan praline shooter, Mississippi mud pie. Beer: Cherry Wheat.
We seat Dinner guests at a large, family-style table, which is great for socializing and comparing notes. A representative from Sam Adams will be on hand to discuss the various ales we'll be tasting, and the Salt hill culinary team will describe various aspects of tonight's tasting menu and how the flavors pair with each beer.
And of course there will be plenty of Aric's homemade brown bread. For those of you who are not familiar with craft brewing, this promises to be a fun and informative experience.
Tickets are $50 per person, price includes food, tax, gratuity and beer pairings. Reservations only. This event sold out quickly last time, so please reseve your seats soon! For more information, please call us at Salt hill Pub in Newport at 603-863-7774.
