Fresh Connections is a innovative workplace benefit program designed to make it easier for people to eat more fruits and vegetables by connecting them with local farms and farmers at their workplaces.
This wellness benefit can take the form of weekly workplace “Produce Days” where employees can pick up their “farm share” at the office or a weekly indoor farm stand set up at the office. Since businesses have different needs and preferences, a variety of options are available to employers who would like to provide the Fresh Connections benefit at their business.
Here’s what some employees had to say about the program this past summer:
“I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with the first week’s farm share. The produce was wonderful, very good quality and very fresh. It was very convenient being able to pick it up in the cafeteria.”
“I love the fact that they are coming to us. I was able to get some really great, fresh vegetables after work and take them home to make dinner. It is wonderfully convenient and much appreciated, “
