Tonight we're pleased to launch a new live music series at Salt hill Pub in Hanover. It's called Name That Song. Teams of one to four people compete against one another for great prizes in this free contest.

The audience listens to a few seconds of a song and then has to accurately guess the name of the song and the artist. There are typically eight rounds of trivia, and it takes about two hours. Mike Philbin, a seasoned player from the Lakes Region, will run the show. Mike uses guitar, keyboard and vocals to play bits of songs from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and even a few songs from the 00s, and keeps the pace moving along nicely with some general music trivia and full-length songs along the way.

This is a weekly series that will run Thursdays at 9 p.m. through June 10. It should be a treat for anyone who loves trivia, loves music, and loves to compete against others.
