Dartmouth & the Upper Valley
Students at Dartmouth for Haiti Relief

It was a full house in Alumni Hall at 6:30pm on Sunday, January 17th, when more than 200 Dartmouth undergraduate and graduate students assembled in Alumni Hall to discuss how best to respond to the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

President Kim spoke by phone to the assembled group, and after watching a promotional video (which you can watch here) and hearing from a faculty member, the students broke into seven working committees.

One of the committees is charged with reaching into the Upper Valley and joining forces wherever possible on initiatives of mutual interest which will help the situation in Haiti. I'm helping them making contacts, and hope you will be in touch with me (peter.glenshaw AT dartmouth.edu) if you are interested in working with them.

There's an enormous amount of work to be done, and it's refreshing to see students responding not only to the immediacy of the crisis, but also interested in working on this issue long-term. Let me know if you'd like to join in this process. To learn more, please visit here.
