Our thoughts and wishes go out to "Tumbleweed," "Hot Foot," and "Tree," and so many other through-hikers who have stopped by Salt hill Pub in Hanover for a break and a bite and a pint for the night.

Salt hill Pub at 7 Lebanon Street in Hanover is just steps off the Appalachian Trail. Through hikers and day hikers alike are invited to stop by, grab a beer and a bite, and sign the AT Wall!

We got to thinking about hiking after hearing about "Tales of the Trail," which is at Howe Library in Hanover tonight. It's a celebration of Hanover's designation as an Appalachian Trail Community by the AT Conservancy. (Please see HoweLibrary.org for additional information about "Tales of the Trail." Their program starts at 7 pm.)
