The Five College Book Sale opens today! We will be at Lebanon High School all day today until 5:00, and tomorrow, Sunday, April 22, until 4:00. The Lebanon High School gym and cafeteria and halls are filled with books—wonderful, amazing books!
We mentioned music recently. Now it's there! At the end of the day today, the main hall of the high school was filled with three 8-foot tables stacked with beautiful books on drama and entertainment—books about performers, shows, history, many filled with fantastic photos. Another two tables have books about music, as well as a great deal of wonderful old sheet music. Two more long tables of CDs, a whole table of nothing but books on tape, then more than one table for DVDs, including many for children. And four tables of videos—with a special section for kids.
The cafeteria is filled with a wonderful Children’s Book Store—let your family, including the children, go shopping! The kids love that corner every year—we see them leaving with armloads of books and sparkling eyes.
And the Fiction—hundreds of paperbacks, hundreds of hard-cover fiction and mystery, a collection of Oprah’s books, true crime, Asian and African fiction in English—they’re all there. The large print books are over by the far windows, and there are many.
The Non-Fiction Room in the gym is filled to bursting with every possible topic you can think of, and then some. The cookbooks are beautiful, the history books are incredible and varied, the foreign language selections are wide-ranging—come and see it all for yourself!
We look forward to your visit or visits this weekend—don’t miss this once-a-year event in the Upper Valley. You can do your Christmas shopping in April!
Every kind of fiction . . .
